Camp Information

Level Green Riding School has been offering a fun and instructive English riding camp for the last 30 years. Located on 200 acres beside the James River, campers of all levels of riding abilities, ages 7 to 16, are offered opportunities to enhance their skills as well as to enjoy trail rides through woods, fields, and along the river. Experienced riders are given opportunities to jump cross country fences as well as riding courses in the ring. Campers new to English riding are giving individual instruction for the first two days of camp.

Our facilities include 45 horses and ponies, 39 stables, 2 riding rings, cross country course and riding trails. Qualified and experienced staff members supervise all activities. Campers ride twice a day and are assigned a horse or pony to look after for the week where they learn feeding, grooming and stable management. Also, campers have two lectures a day on a variety of subjects such as horse shoeing, horse care, and stable management. Campers have a riding demonstration for parents and award ceremony every Friday afternoon.

We provide transportation from 2 points in Chesterfield on the Level Green bus, which will be an additional $25 fee. Sycamore Square is located 1 mile east of the intersection of Route 288 and Midlothian Turnpike. The bus picks up near the post office, across from Ahead of Hair. Huguenot Village is located at the intersection of Robious Road and Huguenot Road. The bus picks up behind the Outback Steakhouse and in front of Crab Tails. The bus does not run on Friday afternoon.
